It came across the AP wire just before noon that Detroit officially signed Tony Delk. I would have also liked to see Jimmy Jackson in a Piston uniform.

But do we now know the difference between "now" and "know"?

I'm sorry, that's a big pet peeve of mine...those words aren't even homophones or anything. They are spelled and pronounced differently...hell they're different words!

I once made the mistake of picking up a ringing pay phone at a rest stop on US 23. Some nice man wanted to know if he could give me a Lewinky (no...I didn't take him up on it).

THAT was a homophone...
