I have not seen him play and would love to have a scouting report.

What are his strengths, weaknesses? Where does he fit on the roster? Can he play the 4 regularly? Is he purely an outside shooter and a spark off the bench. Could he develop into a Reimold?

Give me a scouting report please?

Wow...

Let's start by saying that when Dusan was healthy enough to play, he was one of the players who I thought didn't look as though he deserved to be playing on a D1 Floor.

The kid is short. Not super short, but not anywhere near what he was advertised at coming in. I'm guessing he's a lot closer to 6'3 than 6'6. And you wouldn't put him at the 4 on an SLL high school team. He shows absolutely NO inside game, even if he did have the 6'6+ height that was adverstised.

He's SLOW. I think he makes Reimold look like McLeod when it comes to footspeed. He's slow moving with the ball, he's slow moving without the ball, and worst of all he's got one of the slowest shot releases I've ever seen. He passes up a TON of open looks because it takes him about :05 to get set his feet and get his shot off. His stroke did look decent (not sure about what his % was), but he gets it off so rarely, it's almost irrelevant.

His defense was nonexistent, as far as I could tell. Looking at his stats and seeing his game I have to believe that they played no defense in his European league whatsoever.

From what I saw Dusan is a project. If he can work towards a quicker release he may be able to give you at least an outside shooting threat, but I don't see him as much else. Reimold developed an inside game to go along with that, and I don't see that much potential from Dusan in that regard. He's not nearly strong enough to finish if he were quick enough to get to the inside anyway.

I've heard through the grapevine that the first time Dan ever saw him play personally was when he suited up here over the summer. I don't find that too hard to believe, because we probably couldn't afford to fly there for recruiting. There isn't much D1 game in his body, IMO, but he could improve, you never know. He was pretty much just an extra body when he was on the floor this year.

hammbone, I think you're assessment of Dusan is ridiculously harsh.

I’d put him between 6-5 and 6-6. His speed is not a strength, but he’s easily faster than Reimold ever was. He has a smooth release, but it does need to be quicker.

Dusan’s biggest strength is his court vision and passing. From the limited times that I saw him, he showed flashes of being a very good passer.

With this kid in particular, I think it’s really inappropriate to hammer him so early. I beg you and OptionQB to give him more time as a college player before coming down on him. He’s still finding himself, and his adjustment is bigger than most. Dusan certainly won’t ever compete for first or second team All MAC, but I do think that he can become a very good tactical contributor..

I apologize on selling him short his one true strength right out of the box. I agree that he is a good passer. Early in the year he was the only player on our team who could consistenly put the ball through the openings it needed to get through.

I'm not hammering him, just saying what I saw of his play this year. I think the kid needed a redshirt year, but we didn't give him that opportunity. This season, IMO, he didn't belong on the floor. That's not to say he couldn't grow, players grow a lot in their collegiate years, but he was not as advertised right out of the chute.

I still think he's slower than Reimold, but that's besides the point. His upside is as a guy that is mostly an outside shooter and can make a good pass when his shot isn't there. He's not a creater, and he's not a defender. I think he's smaller than the 6'5 you credit him with, but as an outside shooter that is probably irrelevant.

We'll see what he can become, but I didn't see much promise other than a jump shot when I saw him this year.

We seemed to have lost some posts.

Let's keep the discussions to the left brain, folks.

Geez, that was quick! Sorry about that.
