By my count (and mind you, I'm an idiot), OU is better off in the MAC Tourney if they lose to BG on Saturday.

Win and they are the #6 seed. Lose and they get the #7. If they are the #6 they get Akron on Thursday (assuming they win on Monday), but if they are the #7 they get #2 NIU/Western (West champ). And I think they would host BG on Monday.

I like OU over NIU/Western better than Akron (in Cleveland). How about you? Either way I will be there.

The real key game for OHIO tomorrow is the WMU/NIU game. If WMU wins, we are either the 6 or 7 seed. Of those two, I really don't care which one we get because we will probably have to play Akron in the next round anyway. Getting the 5 seed (if NIU wins) would be terrible, because we would have to play Kent and Miami back to back.

I want to win tomorrow as much as anyone, but if we lose I can't say that I'll be that disappointed. Better to lose now than lose when it really matters!

Again, I'm an idiot. But I don't think OU can get the #5 anymore. AND I agree that that is a good thing for them. Otherwise, I think you are right. Gonna have to face Akron Thursday or Friday (#6 or #7). But at the #7 you get BG on Monday and NIU/Western on Thursday. AND some Friday night hoops.

Unless BG beats you Saturday AND Monday (which would really be fun around here with the smack your partner has been running).
