I just couldn't let an easy set-up like that slip away.ZiggyZoomba wrote: C'mon now Dan...I'm trying to be positive here!! LOL
I think it's great that they've replaced the banners. Those will travel nicely over to the new convocation center if/when it's ever built. I really don't think this season will be as bad as it's sounding right now if everything we've heard is true. I have a gut feeling that John Floyd will be a pretty solid PG, maybe even showing hints of Pardon. Of course, I've only seen him play once a few years ago, and only remember him as "that one red-haired kid."
I do think, however, that anything less than a deep run into the MAC tournament might mean we're talking about coaches named Merfeld and Greer.

DanStan,
I caught the Merfeld reference and while he would be near/at the top of my list that sits in my apartment should anything happen, I doubt seriously he's willing to leave three years of rebuilding on the table at Evansville to come here only to do the same thing. Although six scholarships would be a nice incentive, eh?
And I'm sorry, which Greer are you making reference to?

David Greer was a great point guard who played on the Weinert teams in the 80's. He was simply a brilliant PG...he found ways to get the ball to guys in good positions to shoot that had to be seen. Today, he is in his 3rd year as head coach at Wayne State.
