Has anyone been watching Knight School?

Has anyone been watching that reality show on ESPN at 10:00 p.m. on Sunday nights? Bobby Knight is picking a player to be a walk on for his basketball team at Texas Tech. He was down to six tonight and the ones he has left look pretty good. Maybe D.D. could offer scholarships to some that he lets go.
I keep wondering who is actually going to come here next year. I mean, if you were good enough to play D 1 basketball and you were aware of the continuing exodus we have had the past four years from this program --- would you seriously consider coming here if anyone else at all wanted you???
Do the girls still outnumber the guys 3 to 1 on campus?

That used to help us recruit hockey players.

Yeah, I've been watching it too. I stumbled across if the first night it came on and have been watching it since. It’s a pretty cool idea and I’ve enjoyed what I’ve watched from it so far.

Yeah it just shows that Texas Tech hoops is at a sorry state when six walk-ons can come in and show you up...

Knight is just browbeating and manipulating those kids right into the ground. It's terrible......

It was funny to see those walk-ons just stick it to the Texas Tech kids. Those Red Raider players should be embarrassed. Here you’ve got an intramural squad of kids who haven’t played together before, come out and get drilled by Bobby Knight, then in some cases outplay the Texas Tech scholarship players on their own court! I love how the coaches were like, “Now we’re going to throw them up against our scholarship players and show them what it’s really like playing against Big-12 competition and show them what it’s like to play at this level……and the walk-ons made them look silly at times. If I were the Texas Tech coaches, I’d be telling the production crew to give me that film and burn it so it never got shown on TV.

Maybe that walk-on team should have got a bid to the dance?

I'd hate to see what they'd do to us......

This proves my point once again, even with the sarcasm included. I personally know two players who played for Bobby Knight and the stories that I hear are far from what you've seen in a made-for-television production. Those of you who really think this is a "reality" show have been......well......snowed under.

Not sure what your point is drdesert...
But I agree that the show doesn't exactly portray a real Knight practice. A real practice. In a real practice they aren't playing five on five the whole time.
Talked to Neil Reed when I went to Knight camp. By the way he was a cocky SOB. I was in seventh or eighth grade he was a counselor at the camp and was telling us during a break at night as he was browsing through a Playboy about one of the first times he had met coach Knight.
According to Reed he was called into Knights office but I guess the deal was that Knight just took a shower and he walked into the room completely naked. Reed said he didn't know how to react. They had the meeting and that was that. He also said that the practices were hell. Most of the practices they did not even go over plays especially after a loss. They were pure sprint sessions and he would run them into the ground.

Maybe that's why our team practices 3 hours hard at the end of the year - when other schools taper off on hard practices when they get into the season and are playing two and three games a week. Even Duke only goes an hour late in the season. If they have hard practices after a loss, our poor kids are probably still worn out from this season!!!!!!!!

Have you been to BG practices and Duke practices or are you just going by hearsay?

Hearsay - but from very reliable sources.
