I've been thinking all along that this might be a good fit for Jim Larranaga and I just heard on ESPN this morning that they have asked George Mason for permission to talk to him. He might want to move back east. If he wants to go anywhere - this is definately the time to do it!!!!

Not gonna happen

yea, he wants to move back east, GMU in Fairfax is way to far west for him. I heard Bobby Gonzales was getting the SHU job.

Seton Hall seems like a damned fine place to get paid highly to meet outrageous expectations in a prohibatively competitive environment and then get fired after 5 years of fielding .500 teams. If JL takes a Seton Hall type of job, he needs to make enough to retire if he gets axed at the end of his contract. At that point, he'll be done with in the "big time" and, at age, 60 be likely done in D1 as well. (Think about the guys recently fired at KSU, ISU, and ASU.) It would be very easy and practical for JL to ride out GMU until retirement. Call it 'risk management'.

Risk Management is a good term for it. The bottom line on ESPN tonight has Bobby Gonzales getting the job - so they must not have had a very long talk with JL. Since Jon's wife works for Dick Chaney, staying around D.C. is probably what he and Liz want to do.
