From his home-town paper:
Jeremy Holland, a 6-foot-8 senior for Austin High School, has committed to play basketball at Bowling Green State University.
Holland said he made his official visit to the Ohio school in late September and made his decision shortly thereafter.
"The campus is really nice. I got to attend a practice," he said. "I heard a lot of stuff about (coach) Dan Dakich. He's somebody I want to play for."
Dakich played under Bob Knight at Indiana University and held Michael Jordan to 13 points and one rebound in an IU victory over North Carolina in the 1984 East Regional semifinals in Atlanta.
"Yeah, I know about that game," Holland said, chuckling.
Holland said he chose the Falcons over Evansville, Indiana State, Southern Illinois and Wright State.
"In practice I noticed that everybody went hard," he said.
Holland plays all five positions at Austin but said he'll likely be used as a wing player at Bowling Green. He averaged 19.8 points and 9.6 rebounds last season for the 10-13 Eagles.
