Here is a kid that we have supposedly offered from Indiana from the class of 2007.

Ranked #46 in the nation and #14 at shooting guard by scout. He was ranked in the 90-95 range on rivals.

Interesting............
Alot of schools have offered including Indiana. I don't think we could tear him away from a big school though if he's really this good. He looks like a guy that should bulk up a bit and become mainly a SF more than a SG.

Yeah, because, seriously, why would anyone with any kind of talent come to Bowling Green? I mean, we do only have that one, lonely tree...

Hmmm. Seems to me you made similar comment when we were recruiting Brian Moten. Keep it up. You might be giving us good luck.
Thunderlips could whoop them both.Flipper wrote:I think he should bulk way up and fight Hulk Hogan.....or Mothra.

Re: Interesting............
Well in response to that , I now know from having a whole season to watching Brian Moten on the floor why he's here and not at Virginia. I don't know if his schollie to Virginia got pulled or if he really decided to jump the ship from Virginia and come here, which really very rarely happen unless the player knows he has no chance of playing there or the said school pulls the schollie cuz of them learning or finding out that a certain player doesnt fit their mold.BleedOrange wrote:falconboy wrote:Alot of schools have offered including Indiana. Brian Moten sounded at the outset like a great , amazing athletic player that we had stolen , but in fact Brian Moten no disrespect to him is seems really nothing more than a spot up 3 pt shooter at this point. He appears to possess no driving or slash to the basket skills that a big school like Virginia is gonna want out of a 6'4 athletic player like Moten. Players that are Moten's height and apparent athletism that can create their own shot plus shoot well outside are very valuable to the big schools they usually get the best ones they want. I'm not saying he's not vaulable to us, but I can now see maybe why's he's not playing for Virginia.

You had a half season to watch Moten...since you probably arrived at halftime to avoid paying for the games you did see, I figure you probably saw 1/4of the season. Considering the fact that you didn't go to any road games, make that 1/8th of the season.
Of course, none of that changes the fact that you were wrong about Moten not coming here.

Re: Interesting............
How can you make that assumption when you've only seen the kid play 185 minutes, with much of that on mop up time when we were getting dialed and the whole team was playing defeated??!!! Give him time! If he's not showing anything by his junior year then yes, maybe you can say that, but HE'S ONLY PLAYED 185 MINUTES OF COLLEGE BALL!! You people amaze me.falconboy wrote:Well in response to that , I now know from having a whole season to watching Brian Moten on the floor why he's here and not at Virginia. A school can not just pull a scholarship on a player without the player either quitting or breaking team rules.
