Who do you think he will hire, Old player, old high school coach or some young unknown coach?
I'd stay away from the old player formula.
Besides the value of expanding beyond the old Indiana network to bring in a fresh perspective, I think DD needs someone to challenge him when necessary and have the experience to suggest different ideas, strategies and philosophies.
A young former player would undoubtably be loyal, hard working and likely very talented, but not someone who DD respects as an equal or someone with years of basketball experience and knowledge to share outside of the Indiana system.
(If this goes anything like the AD search (the most important hire in years, mind you), this is the last you'll hear of this for months with few people, regrettably, expressing any interest even on the forum)
