their roster and stats......
Keith is being shipped to a team without a backup pg now. If he assumes Derek fishers minutes/role that would be nice.

As long as J-Rich and Pietrus are around, Devin Brown is going to find his minutes as Baron Davis' backup and Keith will be fighting for a roster spot in all reality with Will Bynum and Monta Ellis. Bynum and Ellis both earned spots through Summer League play last year. Having 3 guards that all roughly do the same thing in the NBA is not good regardless of how cap friendly all three deals are. Keith's best option is to play his butt off in Summer League or get sent packing quickly (next 24 hrs) so he doesn't have to sit in limbo for 4-6 weeks while his restricted trade status expires.
This is about the worst roster situation for Keith to be in right now, IMO.

Golden State probably isn't done. I'm expecting more moves.

What?
They just traded their backup PG from last season.

Since you had trouble reading the first sentence, Devin Brown, a COMBO guard, in this form of Golden State's roster will be getting most of those minutes as the back-up PG minutes.
The SG position is pretty well taken care of by Jason Richardson and Mickael Pietrus.
So yes, Keith will be battling just for a roster spot with other smallish guards Monta Ellis and Will Bynum.

This is clearly not the worst situation he could be in in the league. Which you stated it was.
Devin Brown can back up the 2 and Pietrus the 3.
If Pietrus is not the backup 3 who is?

Have you ever watched any of the guys involved play? Seriously. Yes Pietrus and Brown play multiple positions, however, Keith, as much as anyone here likes him, is not going to be the primary back-up point guard on this roster with the depth they now have.
What makes it an especially tough position for Keith is the fact that the coaches are already familiar with Bynum and Ellis, since they played there last year.
I'm not saying that Keith can't/won't make the roster. I would assume most or all of his money is guaranteed, but this trade was not done to make Keith the back-up PG IMO. Taking a shot, I will say that Keith is the 3rd, maybe 4th guard off the bench. So yes, in terms of that situation, this is a far worse situation for Keith than the Utah Jazz. That's what happens when you go to a better team.
