Vince Baldwin with PrepSpotlight has him listed 88th in his story today on the top 100 Midwest prospects in '07
88. Joe Jakubowski 6’2 Toledo, OH (St. John’s)...Point Guard that can score. Has good size and loves to compete. Kid comes to play every night.

I can argue with very little in Vince Baldwin's analysis. However, I will say this. He is quicker than Floyd, but will struggle defensively against better athletes. He can flat out shoot the ball though. Many nights, he alone kept a otherwise outmatched SJJ team in a lot of games and had an outstanding state tournament run. I just don't think he's a MAC athlete.

I'll take a top caliber shooter any day. Ugly memories of Trevor Huffman, Eric Haut, Jason Grunkemeyer and others might be expunged.
Scout.com says we offered along with Akron, Wright State and a few others so hopefully he'll become a Falcon.

I was wondering about that. Looks like the Scout has the name wrong because they spelled it Jakobowski, not Jakubowski.

I could be wrong as I seem to remember thinking the hooping J-bowski transferred to St. John's from Maumee, but maybe it was Rossford.

He's been at St.John's throughout his high school career. Played at Rossford in junior high (at least seventh grade).
