Pretty cool, they had an NBE exhibition game at Ball State. There are a few photos on this link.

That'd be cool to try to get the Cavs or Pistons to play a game here. Nothing big or anything and maybe they could play our Falcons!!! Besides the Globetrotters last year, we never really have anything else basketball wise at AA that could draw more interest in BG or our program.

We have had NBA exhibitions in the past.........way back in the late 60's or early 70's. I don't remember the teams, but if I remember correctly, Lou Alcindor was on one of the teams!!

There was also a Cavs Pistons exhibition game played at AA sometime in the late 70s or early 80s. And the Lions and Browns played an exhibition game or scrimmage at the Doyt.

I'd say it's probably safe to say, BG won't be hosting any NBA preseason games in the near future with the current condition of Anderson Arena. I love the place, but it could use a major facelift. With a seating capacity of 4,700, wooden seats, dead spots on the floor, etc., I doubt it would happen.

I was actually stunned when the Cavs were considering coming here last year for a week of preseason training. But then I found out they were more intersted in the fieldhouse courts and that sounded less surprising.
