Men's Basketball Hosts Hoops and Halloween Next Saturday

Scrimmage, dunk contest, etc., to begin at 6 p.m.

Bowling Green, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University men's basketball program will host its "Hoops and Halloween" event at 6 p.m., Saturday, October 28 in Anderson Arena.

The Falcons will hold a dunk contest, 3-point shooting contest, a scrimmage and Coach Dan Dakich will introduce the team. The team will have schedule cards, posters and also candy to give away to fans of all ages.

"This is always a fun event and we look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday," said Dakich.

The Falcons will open the exhibition season on November 8 at home against Capital and then start the regular season on November 11 when they host Denison.

I just attended this same event here at Valparaiso University on Friday night. It was great. They had a three point contest where the prelims were various student groups against each other and then that winner agains the team for the finals. There was a light show, a scrimage, player introductions, free stuff, and much more. This was a joint venture between the men's and women's basketball teams. There were around 2000 there. Hopefully this event can create some excitement for the season at BG.

I would love to see a video of the dunk contest.
