Because BG doesn't have an "inner city" like that crap hole up north. Besides, does it matter where they are helping the needy, as long as they are helping?

No it doesnt, but I beleive we do have homeless people and it seems to make more sense to reach out to your own immediate community.

I was looking for a more legitimate answer like we do not have a soup kitchen the size of this one and it would be overkill to bring the entire team to fill a much smaller need in bowling green. Thats what I want to hear.

I heard they called the BG hoops team in as an emergency backup plan. UT's team was going to donate some time and supplies, but not even the needy would take the sportcoats Stan Joplin was donating. :-D

Good job by the men's team with all they've done in the community the past couple months!

That's nice...are there homeless people in Bowling Green? In my day I think we just called them "freshmen". And they weren't homeless as much as they were lost. Those first couple of weekends bar hopping can play hell with a person's sense of direction

I did a project for Dept of Mental Health years ago on homeless people. Covered a three county area. Asked a deputy in Wood where I was likely to encounter that population. He said"If we find any we take them to the Lucas County line, drop 'em off and point north."

There are homeless people in Wood County. They aren't in the cities, they are out in the country. Let's be thankful for what we have.
