BG beats Marshall, Miller scores 19, Falcons now 7-3

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) -- Martin Samarco scored 24 points and Nate Miller added 19 as Bowling Green defeated Marshall 79-78 on Friday.
Bowling Green (7-3) also received 11 points from Dusan Radivojevic and collected their sixth win in seven games.
Mark Dorris led Marshall with 22 points. His fadeaway jumper as time expired fell off the front of the rim.
The Thundering Herd ( 3-8 ) also got double-digit efforts from Travis Aikens with 18 points and Markel Humphrey with 11.
Marshall embarked on a comeback after falling by double-digits with eight minutes remaining but the Herd fell inches short.
Marshall used an 11-2 run to cut the lead to four and Dorris then scored 12 of the teams final 14 points, including a 3-pointer to cut the lead to one with 20 seconds left.
Bowling Greens Darryl Clements got the ball across half court, but Marshall point guard Chris Ross forced a jump ball to give the Herd the last possession.
Dorris lost control of the ball momentarily and rushed a shot from 13 feet away. The Falcons tipped the rebound out to halfcourt, setting off a celebration on the Bowling Green sidelines.
