Any update on Marschall’s broken foot?
I was just wondering if anyone has heard any updates on Marschall’s broken foot. It’s almost been a month now since he broke it (December 4) and he’s approaching four weeks since he suffered the injury. The initial diagnosis was he’d be out 4-6 weeks. I was just wondering if anyone knows how the heeling process is going for him? I hope things are going well and that he’s back out there soon for us. Obviously, we don't want to rush him if he's not ready to go. But he was really playing well and was having a very solid season before he went down. I just hope he can come back soon and that he can get back out there and gel with the rest of the team in time for the MAC season.

I always beleive that as well. As long as they are not long term. Marschall seems like the type of player who would use his time off to better himself somehow, and during that time we had a few wins and got Polk and Larsen some much needed time. Now when should something happen and we have to turn to them again for some of this time they won't be running around like Rudy trying to figure out the play.Jacobs4Heisman wrote:Rats.
Oh well -- as long as he gets completely healthy by mid-season, it'll will allow the whole team to gel and Dan to get his rotation set by the tourney. Early season injuries often help a team, it's the ones late in the year that really hurt.

There was talk in the chatroom, attributed to Cowboy, that he might be back for the OU game this week. I can't confirm that as I didn't have the feed, but the person who relayed the information, to my knowledge, is credible. I certainly hope it is true because, good as this team was against Buffalo, it will be even better with Marschall back.

I should add that I certainly don't want Marschall rushed back just to please us "internet gurus." We all saw what happened to Roethlesberger this year when the Stillers rushed him back. Even if it meant a couple of losses, I would rather Coach D be safe than sorry with Eric.

That was actually me in there who said he was coming back. I thought that was from this board. I swear someone said he would not be back for Buffalo but maybe OU, that could be wrong.Bleeding Orange wrote:There was talk in the chatroom, attributed to Cowboy, that he might be back for the OU game this week. This was in The Blade today.
MARSCHALL TO PRACTICE: Sophomore forward Erik Marschall is expected to practice some today for the first time as he rehabs his broken foot. BGSU coach Dan Dakich said he hopes Marschall will practice 20 minutes today in 5-on-5 drills. Marschall, the Falcons' second-leading scorer, has been out since Dec. 4 with the injury.
