BG/Buffalo Predictions

Post by BGSU33 »

Man, the day before our MAC opener and not much talk about starting the MAC season at all. I guess I’ll try stirring things up a bit then. It goes without saying that this is a big game. It’s a MAC contest, they’re all big. More importantly though, it’s a conference home game and those are ones you must win to stay in the MAC race. This game is likely to be very tough for us playing without two of our better players with Hamblet’s suspension and Marschall’s injury still keeping him out. It basically means everyone else is going to have to step it up a notch again. After losing nine consecutive games to BG, Buffalo has won three of the last four games including a sweep over the Falcons last season. The Bulls’ win in BG last year was UB’s first ever in Anderson Arena. We’ve got to get a “W” here in this one. We can’t afford a loss, especially at home, right out of the gate in the MAC. Pretty much every game we’ve played in this year has been a grind, and I expect more of the same here. Hopefully, we can limit the fouls and sending our opponent to line so much and that we can pull out a win even though we’ll be shorthanded. GO BG!!!

i think this game will be very tough for the falcons due to the fact that they are without marschall and hamblet. i expect a big game from samarco, bigger than normal, and hope to see miller and the rest add enough to put us over the top. i think this team will come out hungry and notch a W over buffalo.

Buffalo has some nice wins, and they are 8-5 against better competition than us, though certainly their record has blemishes, too. This is a test for our team, and a win is pretty important since we go to OU on Thursday. Buffalo will be well coached. Let's hope that Samarco, Moten and Miller all have good days, because winning this game is wiithin our ability, though it will be tough.

One positive indicator. Teams don't tend to shoot well against us, and Buffalo is the second worst shooting team in the MAC.

Tonight is not the night to get in foul trouble.

We'll need Sims and Clements to play strong. Also, I'd like to see major minutes out of Polk against Idbihi.

Well, even a blind pig finds an acorn every once in awhile. I'm just happy as hell we won this game after we saw such a a big lead wash away. But, a win is a win and I'll take one any time.
GO BG!!!
