No one had posted this yet so I decided to go ahead,
Miller had 13 pts, 5 board, 5 assts and 4 steals
Guerin in place of a suspended Hamblet had ten pts, ten assts and 3tos...in almost 30 mins.
Freshmen Polk and Larsen had 5 total blocks in limited time.
9 peeps played ten minutes or more.
Buffaloes guard Eric Moore scored 35 pts all but two on 3 pointers.

Samarco scored 43 and hit the game winner at the buzzer. It would be perfect if was wearing women's underwear when he did it.

Not at the buzzer, 2.8 seconds left. Buffalo throw a pass to a wide open player streaking down the court but it was over thrown. BG ball under it's own basket with 2.8 left. Buffalo fouls N. Miller before the ball is inbounds. Nate Miller misses both, Buffalo rebounds and takes a timeout. Buffalo struggles to inbounds, throws the ball off of N. Millers back at half court and the ball bounces as time expires. What a game! One of the best I've ever seen. Eric Moore from Buffalo hits 11 threes out 16 attempts. I don't care what any one says I like this team and this team has a ton of heart.

What was the attendance today, BTW? Thanks.

Only about 1200. Very few students. Move in and NFL playoffs probably hurt it. Hopefully a bigger crowd in a week against Akron, but those who were there got their money's worth and a lot more.
EDIT: Disregard my Buffalo avatar....Falcons all the way!

This win is more meaningful to me than any of our nine OOC wins...hell any three of them put together aren't as meaningful as this one.

Especially considering that we were missing two starters and used a lot of depth.

Simply unbelievable game. Otis Polk had a coming out party; great game for the big fella. The stats don't do his game justice today. When he was in there we were good. When he was not in there we were mostly bad.
Guerin played a good game on offense, filling in for Hamblet. We badly missed Ryne on defense though. His long arms could've helped defend that stupid #5 that couldn't miss today.
What can you say about Samarco? He's a very, very good player, and is pretty clutch. That fallaway 3 to win it was just sick...what's more that was the 2nd time he's heaved that same shot this season, 2-2
Miller is good...he's gonna be real good. Needs to hit those FTs down the stretch (1-6 towards the end), but still had a big game.
The turning point of the game was bringing Polk back in & bringing in Bland for the first time. We were down 11, and those guys contributed mightily to our run.
I look forward to watching this team have Polk, Miller, Hamblet, and Samarco on the court together as the season goes on. I know Otis probably won't play major minutes, but I think he's our best defensive big man. With Matt's feet hurting him, I hope Otis gets the bulk of those minutes. This was a good win, hope we can carry it on.

There must be something about Buffalo's defense that gets guys to score points in bunches. McLeod had 40+ against them his senior year, Netter had 35, and Samarco had 43 today. The final shot reminded me of Keith's game winner against Michigan in late 2001. Both were next to impossible shots that you knew was going to be made.
Otis was excellent defensively today. As Coach Dakich said, the block on the side out-of-bounds play saved what was probably going to be a back breaking bucket.
Guerin was outstanding, especially in the first half. Also, if he doesn't get up to catch the pass with 7 seconds to go and throw it off the Buffalo guy, we probably would have walked out with a loss.
I really don't want to get ahead of myself, but with Hamblet coming back and Marschall getting ready, are we looking at MAC contender here? The prolonged offensive droughts need to become shorter, but these guys play really solid defense and they look like they're having a lot of fun as a team. These next two games will give us a good idea of where we're at and where we need to improve, but I really liked what I saw today.

If we can split the next two, I'll be more than ready to think we have a shot this year.
Just a monster performance from Samarco, and from the rest of the guys to pick up the slack. Great win.
