Question about Ohio fans...

I read this board on occasion, but havent posted until now. I see this OhioBobcat poster, post things and basically act like an <insert adjective here>. My question to the members of this board is do you take him as a representation of all Ohio fans, or one of those overzealous out fo the ordinary fans? Just curious.

Ohiobobcat doesn't exist but in an individual's mind.

I think, on the whole, you'll find the same types of fan for every college/pro team. You'll have some who kinda care, but only when the teams are doing well. Some who love their teams no matter what. Those who are always up for a serious, well argumented discussion about their own team and others.

Then there are the a$$holes. The closed-minded ones who feel as though it's their job to denigrate fans of other teams because their team won one game and who will never consider another's opinoin. It's those kind of people who give a group of fans a bad name. Doesn't matter the school. There are annoying OSU, ND, UM, Browns, Bengals, Steelers, BG (yes, there are a few), Toledo, etc. fans. You just gotta realize "he's just another a$$hole," and feel sorry for their idiocy.

It doesn't matter. The only thing which matters is for y'all not to feed the troll of duality.

Just let him/her/it go away. As a note, I did delete some of those posts, however.

When reading bkat's posts...well, the undeleted ones...ask yourself this question. Why does a fan from another school spend SO much time talking about this school and so little time talking about the one he allegedly has ties to.

This person speaks in great detail about the shortcomings of our players and the challenges the program has experienced and very little time talking about the players from OU and the success that they've enjoyed.

Wouldn't you, as a fan, spend at least as much time building up your own guys?

It's great entertainment. In fact, I suggest the creation of ToledoRocket, MiamiRedhawk, FurmanPaladin, etc.

Yeah, no kidding. It's odd to the point of being rather creepy, isn't it?

Thanks for the replies. I feel the same way, that there are those types of "fans" everywhere. Just wondering if the one bad apple was giving the bunch a bad reputation.

I don't think you understand. OhioBobcat isn't an Ohio fan.

Not like Ohio fans needed any help having a bad reputation. They need help with hygiene, but not reputation.

Whether he is an ohio fan or not, I like his posts. A little added spice keeps things interesting.
