Stop the bandwagon, I want to get off.

First: Nate Miller is a stud! Clements played well. Marschall is comming along.

Second: I'm on record as a Coach D guy. BUT. What the hell was that? Smarco didn't play in the second half? 3 points? In a 6 point loss? He wouldn't even address it in the post game interview. He referred to "jacking up shots" and "guys being tierd." Clearly referencing Martin.

Clearly, it's his way or the highway, but his way ain't working. This team is a buzzer beater away from 0-4.

I'll settle down tomorrow, but WHAT WAS THAT!

ARGHHHHHH!

Dan will oftentimes sacrifice wins to send messages.

There was a bandwagon?

Hopefully the young team will grow into a team that can compete in Cleveland. That team currently does not exist. I'm not optimistic it will exist this year, based on the last few years, but stranger things have happened. I haven't given up yet.

I was beating the drumb pretty hard. And there was SOME optimism around here.

I was probably drivng the wagon, but clearly it's clearly full of dysentery.

Dan's way will BE the highway, most likely the turnpike west back to Merrillville.

Samarco was slow to get back on D and forcing shots at OU. If he has played that same way since then I have no problem with trying to send him a message. I do have a problem with keeping him out for the entire second half.

With a stop at Tom Raper's...those RV's are SWEET.

I always though Raper was abad name for a guy selling big ticket items.

Bandwagon shmandwagon...they're gonna play, I'm gonna hope for the best. I'll be suprised if we win more than 15-16 games, but I'm hoping for the best.

Indeed. I'll be at Kent. And I'll be at the tourney. Win, lose or draw.

(thanks for talking me off the ledge, folks)

Have you considered drinking? Works wonders for me.

Just got back from the game. Miller played well as did a few others sporadically. We cannot make a shot to save our lives. Miami is not a good team by any stretch! Samarco was put in for 15 seconds in the second half. He shot an offbalance but reasonable shot, which didn't draw iron, and he was promply yanked again. Nobody else could hit the side of a barn tonight and we needed a shooter desperately. Yet DD obviously wanted to send a message. Not sure why. Samarco was heavily covered in the first half and didn't get many looks. Miller looked good and really took it to the hoop. We cut it to five late and had our chances but over and over again we threw the ball away. It was obvious that Samarco was upset while on the bench. Not sure the message DD was trying to send but I hope he gets the message that his leadership is just not working. It is clearly time for a change. There is some talent on the team but DD will never bring it out of these guys.

Samarco's about the only guy on this team that can shoot. Why in the hell would Dakich think it would be best to teach him a lesson about not shooting? If I was the coach, I would tell Samarco that he better take 25 shots each game or he is off the team. Not the other way around.

The team did score 38 points in the second half, without Samarco. It wasn't a total sacrifice.

Why not make Samarco run suicides for an hour after the game (ala Herb Brooks/1980 USA hockey) if he wants to send a message about something? Does he really need to sacrifice a possible win for the team?

Either Dakich has been orally assured of an extension, or he truly sticks behind his principles given his contract situation.

Well, again, maybe on that night Martin was off and the best thing for the team was to play someone else. We did have a much better second half, shooting 55%.

See here.
