I honestly like it. It gives the kids some ownership of the game. It really let's them know what they are going to need to do to win. And you know that if they are in charge of it, they are going to take it more personal if they lose. I read that and immediately sent it to my head coach. We are going to do this for our next conference game on Wednesday. With our kids, it's about decision making, and maybe this will help with that down the stretch. Maybe we won't start to relax when we get a lead if they know what is coming better.

I think its a great idea. Like Houston said, gives the players more ownership of the outcome. They need to come up with the game plan...hey, after 5 straight losses, something needs to give. :x

Tip off in 2 hours....

GO FALCONS!

I don't understand

I am not sure why you were so fond of this idea. The reasons you listed that you are trying this with your own team are the exact things that went wrong for the falcons on Saturday. They made bad decisions down the stretch, and they also relaxed once they were up 9 at half.

About a year ago you stated that you would change your undying loyalty to Dan Dakich if players kept leaving, and the program was not turned around. A week after you made that statement Steven Wright left. You then stated you thought that might be good for the team. The team finished last season with 0 wins after the "loyalty" comment was made, then 4 more guys left after Wright in the off season. They are currently 1-6 in the MAC. All of your posts are in support of what a great job Dakich is doing. I dont understand what you are seeing.

I personally think it was worth a try to try and shake things up. You don't have much to lose.

I think Houston might be playing the devil's advocate some of the time and speaking from a coach's point of view.

Concerning the departures; Sullivan, Wright, Floyd, and Robinson; it seems the the first 3 were welcomed departures and the 4th was borderline welcomed. So, maybe we can let Houston off the hook on that comment.
