Post by BGSU33 »

NIU is 4-17 overall, 1-8 in the MAC and has lost 17 of its last 18 games, including 8 in a row. By no means does this mean we should cruise to a win over NIU. As we all know very well, we can’t look past any team that we play and the last several years have been a constant reminder of that. However, with that said, the NIU game is also one we cannot afford to lose either. At this point in time, with the hole we find ourselves in again this season in the MAC coming down the stretch, we need to start getting wins now (or never) to avoid being tabbed with one of the bottom seeds for the MAC Tournament. If we have any hope of finding our stride some MAC Tournament time, we cannot have one of the very last seeds. We’ve had some very tough, near-miss losses to Kent State (1-point), CMU (3-point) and Miami (6-point) in recent weeks and we can not afford to drop a “winnable” game like this one. We just can’t.

33, well said. I agree. I cannot believe I still see these four names on NIU's roster- Hughes, McKinney, Paradise and Pankrantz and see they have lost eight straight and 17 of 18. I haven't followed the Huskies too closely other than the scores but something has to be wrong out there with Huskies/Judson. With a new facility, I cannot imagine that many of the NIU faithful are a. happy or b. going to the games with this type of streak and some of these scores.

Shoot, Hughes, McKinney and home court should be worth a win every now and then.

Hope it doesn't start Wednesday. We need a win.

Go Falcons!

When we played NIU at AA last year, that was the first BG home game I ever went to.

Let's just say I haven't been a fan of Dan Dakich ever since.
