I don't think anything will come of this. In fact, Dakich could easily get reprimanded.

"MAC commissioner Rick Chryst said he, assistant commissioner Rick Boyages and coordinator of officials Sam Lickliter were examining what happened at the end of regulation in Buffalo's win."
How many officials does it take to screw in a light bulb?
"But officials reviewed the last seconds and decided to put six-tenths of a second back on the clock. However, the Falcons were not on the court. After a five to seven-minute period, as estimated by assistant athletic director J.D. Campbell, Turner went back to the locker room to tell the Falcons to return. Dakich said he responded that the players were showering."
What if they had skipped the showers and ran straight to the bus to beat the blizzard? Would it have been called a forfeit?

I'll be suprised if he isn't fined given the punishment he was given after the blow up against IPFW or whoever a couple of years ago. The league will focus on Dan as a distraction form the obvious double standard employed by the game officials

Our retaliation should be having our SID reclassify this game as a win in the next media guide like other schools traditionally do with disputed contests. While most of those are prior to 1940, I think it would be kind of fun to bring this tradition back.

This is just a mess. I still don't like the idea of Reggie repeatedly ringing the buzzer like he did. No reprimand for that???

Everytime I think about this situation that's the part that gets me more mad everytime. How can you let the opposite coach sit at the scorers table and repeatedly lay on the horn like a 6 year old! That was the second biggest mistake next to giving BG the Tech the officials made (and god knows there was probably 50-100 more mistakes through out the game; they are MAC officials

). They should of called off-setting Techs on BG and Fuffalo and we should have walked away with a well deserved win. Instead, WE GOT FU**ED!!

The problem with most of this is that Chryst has most of the AD"s under his thumb, and especially the newer ones. They call and ask for his advice on the most minor points, because he is their ticket to a bigger and better paying AD job. I put some of the blame on Chryst but also alot on the conference AD's for not having a "set" to stand up to him. The university presidents need to do the same.

Is there any online video of this game at all?

If we called it a win, what retaliation could anyone have?

We're starting to trek into Oklahoma territory here.
We got hosed in a meaningless game between two cellar-dwellars. I would like the university to just move on and let it go. I applaud Dakich for not whining on the front steps of the MAC office like I'm sure Reggie Witherspoon would be doing today.
For me, the appropriate venting period has now passed. We lost. I'm over it. I hope most other BG fans are too.

As far as being "over it" goes, this one will be tough to get over for me. It was a rare win for a team of hardworking players.... Then the win gets taken away..... Thats tough to let go of.

Maybe for the fans -- the players know they won that game. Dakich knows they won it. I don't think it's all that important that we'll be 10-20 instead of 11-19 or whatever it ends up being. Definitely not important enough for our school to waste time, reputation, and resources campaigning in futility to the league office.

Good points. While I was po'ed BiG time, I've moved on. Nothing seems likely to change so I hope the team is focused on Morehead State.
GO BG!
