Nice story about Isaac Rosefelt

Isaac ended up in the right place at DIII University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. Just thought this was a pretty nice success story!

Good for Rosefelt. Sounds like things worked out well for him.
On the other hand, that wasn't a very flattering article in respect to Dakich.

Glad to see things worked out well for him. He seems like a bright kid with his head screwed on straight...choosing a school for academics!? Cool.
His situation was always baffling to me. I thought he was a good, long athlete, but it was clear that he didn't have the outside game to fit the role we tried forcing him into. I couldn't figure out why we didn't redshirt him and try to bulk him into an athletic 4. He had the height & long arms to play the position, and it was clear watching him in the preseason workouts, etc, he was more comfortable inside than out.
If this account is true, anyone else want to take a stab at why we've had so many transfers? Sounds to me like our staff struggled to identify whether this guy could fit the role they wanted him to. Then when it looked like he'd have to develop quite a bit to do so, they just got him to transfer. Not a very flattering story for Dan's part at all.
Oh well, things worked out well for the kid, and I'm happy for him.

I saw Rosefelts play once in an actual game. He got in for a minute or so against...I forget who...anyway, he didn't box a guy out on the backside and we gave up the offensive rebound. He then just kind of jumped and waved at the ball as the shot went over his head instead of strongly contesting the shot.
Dan yanked him right then and I don't recall seeing him play much at all after that. So, while he may not have had the outside game for the 3, I don't know that he had the mindset for the 4 under Dan.
At any rate, I'm glad to hear things worked out so well for him!

Perhaps he wasn't a DI athlete under any coach.

I'm just shocked to learn there's a hill near Anderson Arena.
Must be new. Wasn't there when I graduated.
