posted this on the women's board as well.......
for those who may want to start getting their drink on earlier than the typical 1100am open time for downtown Cleveland bars......Nick's Sports Corner, located at 612 Prospect Ave. will be opening at 8am Wed., Thurs., Fri., and Sat.
It's a rather small bar but the beer prices are pretty reasonable and the food is quite delicious. Also, if you find yourself with late night munchies, they serve food until 230am.

Ha! Nothing like getting started early when you have the day off from work! And here I was thinking that I would have to get drunk in my car before the games!
Seriously, there are a multitude of places for eating and drinking within walking distance of the Q. Panini's and the Winking Lizard are likely to be open for lunch. For you hard-core morning chuggers, both places sell beer by the pitcher.

every bar in Cleveland opens at 11am. I tossed the info about Nick's out there becuse they are the only bar opening early during the tourney. I figured he'd open 30 minutes earlier on Thursday and Friday due to noon tip times. I was shocked when he told me 8am every day of the torney..men's or women's. He said that he brings in 3 times the amount of business during each day of the MAC tourney versus what he does for a sold out Cavs game so opening at the earliest time permitted by law was a no brainer. I THINK he plans on having a breakfast menu for those days as well.
