Is anyone watching this game? Toledo has had about 10 chances to take the lead in the last five minutes, but they can't do it.
Does Charlie own another outfit besides his gray suit with red mock turtleneck?
Why is he unable to fully shave his upper lip?
Did the Jesus Twins' decision to attend Miami (OH) seal Coach D's fate?

Classic finish with Miami running the same play twice with Pollitz running wide open both times. The inbounds guy actually opened his eyes the second time.

Was the story with those kids that DD wanted Tim, but not Eric? Tim is a really solid player, but Eric was scary with the ball at times during the second half.

Looking forward to the Kent/Akron game. Should be a very good one.

It was a heck of a game to watch.

Charlie needs to come to grips with the fact that he's balding and he doesn't look good with a caterpillar on his lip. He's a good coach, however.

Toledo could be the first MAC regular season champion to never be mentioned for an at-large bid. They were 2-8 against teams with RPI under 100 and 17-4 against teams over 100. The line tonight was Miami, Oh -1...that's right, the number 4 seed favored over the regular season champion of the league. Wow!

Regardless, it's always a great pleasure to watch Toledo fall on it's collective face! :-D

The uncertainty surrounding Toledo's leading scorer's foot was probably worth a couple points at least.

Falling on our collective faces? Wow. 3 and 13 must really be hard to take if winning the MAC regular season, having the coach of the year, and winning 25 of 29 MAC games a fall on our face.

And yet your season ended just a couple of days after ours... :-)

Flip (if I may call you that),
The Rockets' season is not over. They will play in an NIT game next week.

That's not a sure thing by any stretch, zig. The NIT field has been condensed this year and they have some rather large strikes against them (RPI, OOC and final record, didn't make conference tourney finals and their top scorer is hurt).

If Miami beats Akron in the final, there's no way they get in as the NIT would likely take Kent State and /or Akron ahead of them

Actually, they are indeed guaranteed an NIT bid. This is the second year that the NIT guarantees bids to any post season eligible D1 teams that win their conference regular season and fail to make the NCAA tournament.
