Dakich done at BGSU
Bowling Green coach Dan Dakich’s attorney has notified the Blade that he informed athletic director Greg Christopher he doesn’t want to consider an extension of his contract, which ends June 30.
More later.

Alright. So begins what should be an exciting offseason. Let's go out and find a good young coaching candidate and rebuild this program to where it BELONGS!

As has been said in the past, thanks to Coach Dakich for everything he's meant to BG (city and university) in good times and bad, and best of luck in whatever comes next!
EDIT: The part I just noticed is that his contract ends June 30. Hammb is a stinkin' liar.
I would assume that he'll work until that date, or until a new coach is hired, at which point he'd be paid through June 30.

Thanks for the memories and hard work, Dan.
Step one: find a way to keep LaMonta Stone
Step two: Give these folks a buzz:
1. John Groce, Ohio State Associate Head Coach
2. Ray McCallum, Indiana Assistant, Former Ball State Head Coach
3. Robert McCollum, Former Western Michigan Head Coach
4. Josh Oppenheimer, Kent State Associate Head Coach
5. Rick Herdes, Southern Indiana Head Coach
6. Chris Mack, Xavier Assistant Coach
7. Tracy Dildy, UAB Assistant Coach
8. Kevin Willard, Louisville Associate Head Coach
9. Frank Martin, Kansas State Assistant Coach

Just to re-hash some sentiments, thanks Dan for being a Falcon. It was pretty classy to decline any possible talk of the extension and just end it. Love him or hate him, he did a lot for BGSU from what I've researched.

Perfectly said, Drew. I love the guy and will miss him greatly. I wish him the absolute best wherever he ends up.

Coach Dakich made my four years at BG as a basketball fan wonderful. I remember sitting on the floor of the ticket office waiting to get tickets to the Michigan game and Coach coming out and handed out T-Shirts and media guides to the students in line. He had his rough times, but I will always remember the good things he did for the basketball program and the school itself.

NIU fired Judson. Sounds like a good candidate to me.
