If you were looking for a head coaching job and had your choice between BG or Northern Illinois, which job would be more attractive to you?
I have to think NIU's proximity to the Chicago recruiting base and their better facilities than ours would push them over BG.

Possibly. However, we have proximity to Detroit, Toledo, Cbus, and Cleveland. Also, we return much more talent than NIU for next year (if the new hire can keep them). To be honest, NIU may very well be a more attractive coaching situation than BG. I'm thinking that we'll payaround 125 -150. What is NIU paying?

Can NIU offer the best cheeseburgers around? I think not.

Absolutely.
Plus, NIU's attendence/support issues are much worse than our own. Their announced crowd for the BG game was 690, followed up by a robust 475 against Ball State. I don't care how much a team loses--someone in their athletic department is not doing their job with those numbers.

Those are all valid. However, don't underestimate salary as a deciding factor.
