The "garbage man" takes over the reigns from another Falcon:

I didn't see this mentioned anywhere yet:

He still has that same smart-ass look on his face that he had when he played here. :)

I wonder if he still wears the really low socks so that it looks like he's not wearing any at all?

Maybe it is just the sentimental falcon fan in me but that 91-92 team was the best team I have seen play in Falcon unis (my watch time is from '85-present).

Venable at point, Whiteman at shooting guard, Billy Johnson at the 3, Ed Colbert, Steve Watson, and Tom Hall mixing it up down low then Juan Street, Derek Kizer, Michael Huger coming in off the bench. . . with Joe Bair's Lair in full effect.

I'd take that team, with the up tempo, and scramble D any night of the week.

Wasn't Joe Moore on that team also? I still can't believe we didn't win the MAC and go dancing that year.

Wow, I am embarrassed I left him off of my list! J.A.M. #24 I can still here Michael Reghi "flight 24 cleared for take off down the run way" (and you thought that line started with Bronny!!)

Toss in Vada Burnett and that team had two legitimate starting 5s.

Not to be a dirty nit-picker, but that would have to have been 90-91. 91-92 was my freshman year and most of those guys were gone. Huger was starting at point and we had Ruminski at center. I remember hearing all the stories about Moore. I believe Hall was still on the team in 91-92. I clearly remember someone describing him as really tough on the inside, but everything outside of a dunk was out of his range. That may have been the case, but when you can dunk from as far out as he could...who cares :P

Those were great teams. We had more talent on that teams than most of the MAC combined this side of Ball St. We should have won at least a couple of MAC titles.

I will never forget leading Eastern Michigan 21-0 in the MAC Tournament and losing in OT. They never led until OT. Very dissapointing!
