Coach Dakich

Have been gone and was wondering if there is any news about Coach Dakich? Does he have a new position.? Sure will miss him.

I agree. Dan was a great, great guy. I very much hope he lands on his feet, and I would, too, appreciate any news on his progression.

Haven't read anything more on him after the Alford stories died down, but I did find this bit on a guard from OJ Mayo's rent-a-team in Huntington, WV that Dan was apparently in talks with:

He's still doing his weekly chat with the Toledo sports radio station. He told the host he wouldn't mind coming in to the studio in the near future rather than just calling in.

I know he still wants to coach, but I always thought DD would make a phenomenal development guy if he wanted to get into athletic administration. His personality is a perfect fit. After talking with him for 10 minutes, donors wouldn't be able to say no.

Scott Seeliger made the transition after coaching football at BG, and the AD at Northern Illinois was an assistant basketball coach in the PAC-10 before changing courses.

I have heard that Dan was in Florida last week talking with the Gators. Anyone else heard this?

Yes, and was borrowing Urban's car while he was there, because Urban was out of town. Didn't Billy D just lose an asst coach? Ummmmmm.....
