Sounds like a decent pickup, especially if he really is "still growing" at 6-9.
He's on the left:

Nice......

And boy do we need a really mobile 4 man in that 6'8 to 6'9 range. DD never did well in getting those really talented long and athletic 6'9 guys here and now it appears that Orr has gotten one. We'll see how this pans out in the future , but as it stand now , me like.

Well, hopefully he fares better than Jimmy L's first recruit

PG is our biggest need, but an athletic 4 that can defend the position, rebound, and possibly add some scoring is definitely our 2nd need.
The best teams in the MAC have been fielding athletic 4 men for a number of years now and we have not followed suit...this is a good addition.

5.7.07 - NY2LA Sports Exclusive - Cameron Madlock signs with Bowling Green!
Talk about getting it done when it matters the most, look no further than 6'8" Class of 2007 F Cameron Madlock who signed his national letter of intent this past weekend to play basketball at NCAA Division I Bowling Green next year. Madlock who really seemed to turn the corner last fall and turned it on again this past January, hit the circuit in April with the Wisconsin Playground Warriors 17u team and ended up with offers from both Western Michigan and Bowling Green after his performance at the Pittsburgh Jam Fest 3 weekends ago.
Anyone doubting the value of tournaments such as these or spring/travel basketball in general need look no further than Cameron Madlock and his recent success. Congratulations to Cameron and his family on an excellent achievement and I think we speak for everyone in Wisconsin when we wish him the best.

This kid sounds like he could be the late-bloomer who slips between the recruiting cracks and explodes later. He may be green as grass as a freshman, but he'll be under perfect tutelage. 14/8 as a first year player on a 21-4 team is nothing to sneeze at.

Wouldn't it be nice to get this program to the point where the stuff in bold goes without saying?

Problem is he shrinks an inch every 7 posts. I plan to keep posting here until he's about 5'3".

Maybe the bold was to emphasize the Madlock bootstrapped himself into a D1 recruit, not to clarify BGSU's position in the divisional heirarchy?
Who was that, Pop Jennings?

Awesome news! This kid sounds like a quality addition for us in many ways. I can't wait to see who else we sign, and I sure can't wait to see us play next season.
