Hoops summer roster: Chris Knight not listed
http://bgsufalcons.cstv.com/sports/m-ba ... l-mtt.html
This roster includes our 10 returnees + Cameron Madlock.
Chris Knight is not listed. Does anybody know why?

Because when you bring in guys like Chris Knight it's a long shot whether they ever wear a uniform. It was a major problem with Dan's recruiting philosophies.
He brought in either:
A) Unathletic kids who were "hard workers" but undeserving of division 1 scholarships based on athleticism.
B) Athletic top quality players that were non qualifiers or partial qualifiers, hoping they'd get it turned around in the classroom and be eligible.
Those 2 categories defined a large percentage of his recruits while in BG. One of the reason's we've gone from good to bad was that Keith ended up working out pretty well, and the rest of his eligibility risks didn't (Wright might be the only one to even suit up for more than a few agmes?).

Nevermind. I guess Coach Orr will just have a little extra work to do in finding another athletic SF out there.

Dammit. I ask a simple questions and you blockheads come out of the woodwork with all of this bullsh1t. NOBODY has any damned idea whether Knight left the program, some stupid NCAA rule prevents him from being officially listed, or some do-do at bgsufalcons.cstv.com brain farted? Heh? Com'on. Factman, where are you when I need you?
Harumph.

Harumph.

So far as I know, Knight is still around.

Does the NCAA Clearinghouse also tout that you may already be a winner? If so, Knight may have left because he won a million dollars and green Jaguar.brewer wrote:I don't know if Knight is still around or not, but that may very well be the answer. I'm sure the NCAA Clearinghouse has to formally bless the eligibility. Who knows how long that takes.BleedOrange wrote:..some stupid NCAA rule prevents him from being officially listed

"Captivated" isn't the proper word. "Enamored," I think, works much better.Flipper wrote:I've heard he's trying hockey this year instead of basketball. He went to a game last year and was captivated by the Zamboni.
But then, who amongst us isn't?
I would expect more from an English major.

Lets see the kids that didn't make it academically under Dan would be Reggie Harwell and depending on how you want to take it Lionel Sullivan. Chris Knight had passed 6hrs last summer and 14hrs 1st semester. Kids need 24 in a year. So anything he didnt get would be under the new staffs watch. Can you please let everyone no Hambb who else was academics risks since Dan only had 2 categories that he recruited. 3 in 10 years hardly seems to qualify for a huge category. Knight is at home taking an online class to get elgible by the way. But if you are going to make in correct statments then back it up with some facts.
