1982-83, 1984-85 team pics

Post by Ohiogal »

I was going through old pictures and found the signed team photos from the above years. Only have 7 from the 84-85 and all but one on the 82. I remembered I had a huge crush on Brian Miller... I think I was about 13 years old!

Good thing you never met him. Miller was an odd cat. He kept a spider collection in several fish tanks in his dorm room. He couldn't keep a roommate because of it, but he was so into spiders that he didn't care. Needless to say, the babes never came around, which was just fine because he was deathly afraid of them - a fear most guys get over by middle school. His main social outlet was the CB radio that he got from his father. I think he was a geology major. He wore NOTHING but corduroy, and he would sweat profusely all of the time, every where. Other aspects of grooming fell by the wayside as well, such as fingernail clipping and a low-grade but very persistent foot odor. I heard that, for lunches, he would eat nothing but PBJ's with potato chips alone in his room. One of his former roommates mentioned to me that he was most proud of his Star Wars cards collections, of which he had numerous "complete sets". He rarely spent the week-end at BG when not in basketball season.

Now, if you aren't over that crush by now, then, well, ...

I'm not sure which is worse, having a crush on Brian Miller or knowing so much about him:-)

I just wanted to prove to OhioGal that I CAN make a post without the most obvious sly comments (and they are LEGION).

But you KNOW I'm thinking about 'em, eh, Laney?

I was....the time my freshman year when I told you that you reminded me of someone that you and I both knew. What I didn't realize, until that moment, was how much you disliked that person. After the look you gave me, I had the fear. 15 years later, I'm starting to get over it. The mace still scares me a bit.
