I'm glad he got to start! If Utah doesn't pick up another PG, he could be their man for awhile if he keeps performing good. In that case, I would be right in earlier posts when I said I might think he would get to start this season :D

I forgot this game was on, and only caught the last minute... Keith's 8 assists led the Jazz, and was 1 more than the Lakers had as a team!!

7 points, 8 assists, a steal, and only one turnover in 29 minutes. Not that Bill Walton's words need to be taken without a grain (or handful) of salt, but he gave Keith some props at how he handled the offense, too. Very cool start for McLeod!

He looked really calm and relaxed out there. Sort of Omarish :P Bill Walton's comments will gladly be accepted by Keith I'm sure. I really hope he keeps his play up like this though. He can only get better by playing in real situations because practice can only take you so far. Even if he does get pushed back to 2nd string, performing good with the time he gets could let other teams take notice in him as well. Go Keith!!!

Congratulations to Keith on his first NBA start. And performing well wtih a career high 8 assists. Too bad some of those assists were to Boozer. :axe:

That no-look behind-his-head to Boozer on the break was SWEET!!! Unfortunately I had to call it a night after the first quarter. So glad to see him make his NBA started debut last night! It was AWESOME BABY!!!!

The pass was awesome....and I'm glad Boozer didn't bobble it to mess up what turned into a highlight play.

17 Points, 10 Assists!

Post by TG1996 »

Checking out ESPN NEWS highlights to see how Keith finished up the great start hammb alluded to in the "DirectTV thread".... 17 points, 10 assists. He WAS the ESPN highlight! Very good to see! Keep it up Keith!!!

(The highlights were at 12:48, if they keep the same loop, its right after Ray Lewis spouts off on Terrell Owens.)

Coach Sloan

Post by BleedOrange »

Judging my quotes in the press, it seems like coach Sloan really, really likes Keith.

I'm wondering if some of this success is due to the good influence of coach DD. Just a thought.

Keith had an outstanding game (17 points, 10 assists) to post a double-double, and Antonio had a nice game last night too scoring 12 points to go along with 4 assists.

I don't know if anyone saw, but one of his shots was just #7 on Sportscenter's Top 10 today (Tuesday). Thought that this was very cool. Jeff

Didn't see SPC but I watched the game last evening. My guess is that they are showing Keith's halftime buzzer beater, especially since it was the only FG he hit. Keith had 3 pts and 2 TO last night, not his best performance.
