Those who check the Other Sports Forum may remember the giant volleyball schedule posted on the side of AA. They recently put these up for both men's and women's basketball, on the other side of the main entrance.

"Above the Rim"? A subtle jab at the old school style of Dakich? Great idea and pretty eye catching.

The Good: the students will see these eye-catching ads on the way to and from class.

The Bad: the community and those not attending classes will rarely if ever see these ads.

The Thought: Is it better to be on campus as with AA catching the students eyes or is it better to be at 75 & Wooster as The Doyt catches the eye of travelers through the area and through town?

For hoops, I'd much rather have the student section packed and rocking!

I agree, it would be nice to see the student section rocking, and I bet if we start winning it will be.

And while it would be nice to have something where those outside of the BGSU community can see it, better to have something than nothing at all...Perhaps there's more in store, as well....

Yup, Anderson seats 5,000 and 20,000 students go to BGSU. Get enough students to the game and you can fill it right up. Pandering to the townies won't do too much. It seems like most of them have made up their mind about whether they are into BG athletics or not. Unless we start reeling off 20-win seasons of course. The students are still impressionable.

I saw these banners while walking in to AA last night and they look fantastic. I can't believe we hadn't done something like this before.
