ESPN reported last nite that Dan had been hired as an asst. coach at IU, replacing the guy who resigned after all his "illegal" activities. Personally, I'm glad for him...he was always pleasant to talk with...and I'll never forget the contribution(unsolicited BTW) he made to my Heart Walk project last year.

Congratulations Dan!
Regardless of what you think of his coaching philosophy, Dan is an awesome person.

Dakich is beloved in Indiana. There were numerous post in the Indianapolis Star about Dakich. They basically said Dakich failed at BG, because the MAC is a crap conference and he couldn't recruit.
I went ape s**t on some of these posters. They never replied back of course. Typical IU fans that are not knowledgeable. They are making excuse for Sampson that are laughable.
I liked DD, but some of his comments after he left made me wonder

Well, I wouldn't say that it was the MAC's fault that our floor was too hard.

I thought it was because we spent too much money on the hockey team?

DD was on 1470 the Ticket again chewin the fat with Norm Wamer and it the way DD was talking he sounded like he was where he always wanted to be or so it sounded. A few comments he made seemed like an ever so slight jab at BG but not much beyond that. He also raved at the attendance of IU's exhibition game which drew 17,000.

This seems like it should be in Other Schools since we don't play IU in Men's Basketball this season. Frankly I could care less where he goes or what he does. Louis Orr is our man now and what he thinks and does with this team are all I really care about.
