FBoy,
I don't think this is NEW news...seems as if this was mentioned about a month or so ago if I recall correctly...
Looking back at original list is a kid named "Dee Brown" from "Birmingham Country Day" = Same Kid ???
Dee Brown is supposed to be 6'2", this kid is 6' 0.....hmmmmm.

Yeah, your probably right. I didn't make the connection when I saw the listing on Scout. I forgot we had a verbal from this Dee Brown kid. This Darnell is likely the same kid. So we got 3 coming in next year? Calhoun, Brown and Zach Thomas? If thats what we've got coming in next year then we got a seemingly nice athletic PG backup for JJ and 2 more athletic 6'7 dudes. Next year could be the year we really break out.

2007-08
G- Jakubowski (Fr) Clements (Jr) Sims (So)
G- Hamblet (Sr) Moten (Jr)
F- Miller (Jr) Dusan (Jr)
F- Knight (Fr) Marschall (Jr) Madlock (Fr)
C- Polk (So) Larson (So)
1 open scholarship and Hamblet
2008-09
G- Jakubowski (So) Brown (Fr) Sims (Jr)
G- Moten (Sr) Clements (Sr)
F- Miller (Sr) Dusan (Sr) Thomas (Fr)
F- Knight (So) Marschall (Sr) Madlock (So) Calhoun (Fr)
C- Polk (Jr) Larson (Jr)
14 scholarshipped players. Chances are 1) Between Calhoun and Thomas, one is not completely eligible or 2) someone is leaving the program that we just don't know about yet. This doesn't count the pipedream that many of you have of Brian Guerin being a D-1 basketball player or the possibility of him returning to the team.
2009-10- Orr's first season that should be evaluated.
G- Jakubowski (Jr) Brown (So) Howell (Fr)
G- Goodsen (Fr) Sims (Sr)
F- Knight (Jr) Thomas (Fr/So)
F- Madlock (Jr) Calhoun (Fr/So)
C- Polk (Sr) Larson (Sr)
2 open scholarships remain after the other two Cincy boys withdrew their verbals. I would assume they are very much still in the picture, but an eventual replacement for Polk and Larson might start looking nice as well as another 2G.
The reason I mention that 2009-10 being the first season that Orr should be evaluated is based on a few factors.
1) Big men in the MAC are hard to come by and he'll have 2
2) He gets a chance to recruit HIS players for HIS system. Like the Big Tuna used to say, "If you want me to make the dinner, let me shop for the groceries." And right now ladies and gentlemen, like it or not, Coach Orr because of his predecessor isn't even shopping at Aldi for a lot of his spots.
It should be a lot of fun over the next several seasons with Coach Orr and staff on board, but I don't expect him to pull any miracles anytime soon. If he does, it just shows how great of a hire Greg Christopher made.

It gets worse than Aldi's?
