LOL... funny you should say that... here's how his email to me started:
Grant,
I'm working on the RSS Feed thing, but in the meantime I just published a Q and A with John Floyd. He said some interesting things.

If you didn't know me, you'd think *I* was Ryan.... or then again, maybe you don't know me at all....

That was a good article. Interesting to hear the way a former player talks about Coach Dakich.
Personally, I hate the motion offense, so I'm not too keen on his X's & O's either, but still cool to get his perspective on the matter.

Like Floyd, I can't picture Dakich as an assistant coach at all. Going from giving the orders to taking the orders has to be an enormous adjustment. Just having to sit on the bench rather than be up and moving as he always did must be huge.
I've watched a couple Indiana games on TV and Dakich sits at the end of the bench closest to the scorers table. He's actively watching the game and occasionally rises out of his seat to make a point, but I'm sure he has to restrain himself sometimes so as not to step on the toes of Sampson or the other more senior members of the staff, who ironically were also longtime D-I head coaches (Ray McCallum, Jeff Meyer).

I can't picture Dan dressed as a ninja...I can see him throwing a bunch of those ninja stars at the refs though...
