Pretty cool stuff there and not much I could disagree with as well.

Just reading his blog, he points out the win over Michigan. I think of three games in particular. BG beating Toledo in a last second three in 1988-1989 season, BG defeating Michigan State with Steve Smith and the women beating Maryland in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

I think of BG's win over Toledo after Germain Fitch broke the backboard before the game. BG came back after being down something like 400 at half. I can't remember the year.

The backboard break came before a game vs. Miami (i believe- I know it wasn't Toledo) and I think it was Almanson that broke it? Maybe?

The Toledo game had the post game "jump on Fitch and tear up his knee"

Mawel Soler broke the backboard before a Sunday afternoon game against Miami.

I'm pretty sure that it was Fitch that broke the backboard, but I could be drunk. Also, there was a nasty snow storm that day and AA was still packed.

It was a Miami game, and because of the delay, Fox Sports elected not to broadcast the game. I think it was actually Soler that broke the backboard.

Hammb has it correct. I had a bunch of family members come up to watch the Pollitz boys play so I know it was Miami.

And since I brought them up, do you think Coach Orr could have gotten them to come to BG? Just a thought. Would have been nice being as Tim is a candidate for POY honors.

We made the trip over for that UT game. Mrs. Freak's dad didn't want us driving over from Huron but it wasn't THAT bad. WELL worth the trip. Great game.

That Toledo game was awesome for a couple reasons:
- My first game in AA (enjoyed it despite my hatred of basketball).
- Came back from something like 20 points.
- It was a Toledo loss.

Now that it has been proven I am drunk and the facts are straight, it was still great to see BG beat the Turds after being down by 500 (the legend is growing).

"I'm not usually one to talk about my alma mater around here. When you're from a smaller school like Bowling Green, your feelings toward your alma mater's sports teams tend to become like your feelings toward your family: strong, and intensely private, lest you get ridiculed for it.

No one, outside of other BG alums, need know that I sometimes bleed brown and orange for a team other than the Cleveland Browns. But when I found out (courtesy of Joel Hammond) that big changes might be coming to BG, I couldn't keep my mouth shut anymore".

Good to see he got over his fear. Who cares if anyone makes fun of you for your team? I sure don't. My whole cube at work is LOADED with BG stuff...in the middle of the OSU ship. The funny thing is most of these guys went to MAC schools but root for the Buck$.

Bleeding orange and brown is not a "sometimes" thing...it's an ALL TIME thing. Maybe I'm in the minority. Maybe I have a real "Problem" with this addiction to BG sports and the Univerisity itself. LOL.

I know he's a different dude than me but that bothers me. Stand up and be proud to be a FALCON! Shout it from the top of the nest...don't take a back seat to anyone or let anyone's feelings dictate yours.

This timid bs needs to stop. It has plagued BGSU for decades.

If we're talking about the 2005 Toledo home game, we were down 34-17 at the half, and won 70-69. The lead also changed hands 3-4 times in the final moments. After BG went up, Keith Tripplet rimmed out a jumper as time expired. Half way down and out, I almost had a heart attack. The floor filled up with students almost instantly.

You are spot on, my friend. And, yes, you do have a problem. Fortunately for you, it is a good one to have, in no small part due to the fact that you have a wife that somehow manages to put up with it.

If you are a fan, then be a fan. Don't half-ass it.
