....but it is a victory!

Falcons down Eastern Illinois 52-48.

We definitely need to work on our free throws.

Good. I would have hated to review the Drano guzzling on this board if they had lost.

The game was for lack of a better word was atrocious. I can't believe we couldn't put that team away for at least a 15 pt win but oh well. I'm still not sure if we'll win more than 2 games in the Mac but whatever its all good.

I'll bet dollars to donuts there'll be plenty of Drano passed with a 4 point win over a 1-10 team, unfortunately.

But, from just looking over the numbers and listening to the end of the game, we shot horribly, but rebounded well (53 boards, with more Off. Rebs. than I remember seeing in awhile, I think) and held on down the stretch (which we haven't been particularly strong at of late).

A big one left before a HUGE MAC opener vs. OU!

Ha! We shot 29%. We beat the worst team in D1 at home by 4 points. Clements shot 1 or 7. Polk racked up 4 fouls in 9 minutes. Jakubowski was our second leading rebounder. Moten, our outside shooter, attempted 4 shots in 28 minutes. Our stud, Knight, didn't start, played 21 minutes.

Fellas, this is a bad basketball team we have here.

Definitely among the worst games I've ever seen. We played terrible. EIU is atrocious. Can anyone else ever remember a team scoring only 13 points in a half!?

I'll take the win, but my god was it ugly. Polk's fouls were so annoying because he was actually a presence getting boards and sent to the foul line when he was in.

No doubt, it was an ugly game. But it was a win, and I'll take it any time. A win is a win. Any time BG plays (in any sport) and scores more points than its opponents, it's a good win in my book....no matter how ugly the game. But one thing is for sure, while we broke the losing streak, we had better start playing better and in a hurry because after Duquesne, the MAC season is upon us. I'm not drinking Drano tonight, but I could be here starting in a week or so.

Just remember to wait 15 minutes, then flush with warm water. Repeat if necessary. :-D

Good to see BG get the win. We are gonna struggle the whole year. Coach Orr has a free pass this year as he hasn't much to work with, unfortunately.

Build on it and try and make it two straight Wed night...

A wins a win is a win.

EIU is tech. 0-11. Their 1 win came against an NAIA school.
