Thanks for the mindless negativity and bad analytical skills.

What this means is that Duq. is a very offense-oriented team. It doesn't indicate that they are a good team. It just so happens that they ARE a good team, but their PPG isn't what indicates this. The high PPG means, really, that they consistently shoot early in the shot clock.

Please stop attacking Falconboy just because he is falconboy. The points per game does not necessarily mean that they shoot early in the clock. It could just mean that they shoot for a high percentage. Or it could mean that they If Falconboy cant infer that we are likely to get blown out, you should not necessarily be able to infer that the team shoots early in the clock. We scored 50 points last game against a bad team, Duquesne is scoring a high level of points against good teams, see there RPI. I think its safe to infer that Duquesne presents a scenario that could translate into a likely blow out.

Now you can feel free to attack me just because I am me.

Well they score 87.6 PPG and give up 71.3 PPG

We score 65.6 PPG and give up 66.4 PPG

Prediction-87-65 seems about right.

Caped Boy: Excuse me, ladies. You may remember me as the guy who came to dinner a few weeks ago with underwear on my head. My name is Keith Stat from Millburn, New Jersey. State bird, the mosquito. And as you may have heard I am recently a crowned class B dungeon-master. So if any of you would like to play D&D today, please speak now or forever hold your peace.
[He chuckles, and there is an awkward silence at the table]
Caped Boy: Anyone? Alexa!
[Alexa gives him a withering glare]
Caped Boy: Maybe you would like to join in? We do need a druid, and you have definitely cast a level 5 charm spell on me.
Alexa: In your dreams, douche-bag!
Caped Boy: Douche-bags are hygienic products, I take that as a compliment. Thank you.
[Keith walks off]
Alexa: Ewww!

Bzzzzttt !!!! They'd need to shoot in the neighborhood of 65% if they are putting up shots at an average frequency. When a teams shoots early in the shot clock, both teams have more posessions during the game. Therefore, both teams generally score more. That explains the high scoring.

Thank you.

NEXT !!!

Could also mean they attack the basket and get to the line a lot, shoot a high percentage and frequency of threes, have a chippy attitude that drives the other team into huge numbers of technicals or a combination of the these. Let's all just agree that they score a bunch.

On average, they've shot the ball 9 more times a game than we have. (64-55 shots/game). Also, as for the OMG! PPG! panic, they've scored big in games vs. marginal opponents, and more in the 70 point range vs. decent to good (Pitt) opponents.

The only thing that would concern me is if we come out playing like the "marginal opponent" we've shown in a few recent games.

As far as a common opponent, they beat Oakland 92-77, we lost to Oakland 90-80.

14 turnovers and shoddy foul shooting and BG only down by 4. Polk has 11 pts at half. BG keeps playing hard. I am listening to the Duquesne feed on KQV.com.

Our best player (Miller) shoots under 50% from the free throw line and DU score almost 30 point off of turnovers.... sign of a young team that will go through a lot of growing pains. It will be interesting to see if ORR can lead them to .500 in the MAC. I think that would be a great coaching job.

I'll be interested to hear from those at the game. On the surface, it's pretty obvious that turnovers killed us, but, like so many other games this year, we kept fighting, pulling from down 11ish to down 2 at the half, and down 12 with 10 left to five or six 2:30 later.

Big night for OP, esp. considering he had 3 fouls with 10 min left (when I was able to get onto gametracker) and stayed around the whole game, on the floor for most of the finish.
