I made my first trip over to Anderson Arena this past weekend. The fans I talked to before the game were very hospitable. Except for the outcome, I had a great time. I was just wondering if someone could answer a question for me...
Before the game, it seemed like someone was taking a lot of pictures. After a few minutes we notced there were two strobe lights, one above each bench, going off about every 45 seconds. This continued through out the game. Does this happen every game? Just never seen anything like this.
Anyway, good game, and good luck the rest of the season, except Feb. 19 of course.
Question about the Game Saturday
The "strobe lights" are actually flashes which are used by the campus media people when taking photos in AA. They have been using them since I was an undergrad back in 1998-2002. There is a relay in the camera that remotely triggers the flash. I assume it has something to do with the lighting in the building and it improves the quality of the photos.
I think it's something that you rarely notice, but when you do, you catch it going off all the time.Eagle66 wrote:Thanks, Ive neevr seen a flash so noticible in the arena before...
