Well, we’re 2-2 in the MAC all vs. the MAC East and this game against Miami will wrap up our first go-around against the MAC East. It seems to be the case every year, but Miami is a pretty solid team again. The RedHawks had some big wins during their non-conference schedule having beaten Mississippi State, Xavier and Illinois and they also had some heartbreaking losses to USC (4 points), Louisville (3 points), Dayton (1 point) and Wright State (1 point). Miami is 1-3 in the MAC, but those three losses came at Akron, at Ohio and home against Kent State, respectively. All three of those contests are tough games and places to gets wins vs. those opponents for anyone. The RedHawks did beat Buffalo at home in their last outing.

Miami has a very good one-two punch in Tim Pollitz and Michael Bramos as both players are averaging 16 ppg. Bramos is listed as questionable and missed the RedHawks' last game with an ankle injury. Personally, I’d love for him to sit this one out against BG. He's got a very smooth game and I would rather take on Miami without him.

This is a MAC game, and a MAC East one at that, so it goes without saying it’s an important one. But after what happened to us in our last game at Akron, it would be huge to wipe away that loss with a win over Miami. If BG can contain Pollitz (and not fall for every one of his pump-fakes) and contain Bramos (if he plays) and make some of the other RedHawks try to beat us, I like our chances. But we're going to have to actually have to put the ball in the basket ourselves (whether its from the floor of from the line) in this one as this could shape up to be a defensive battle type of a game.

Yea...this game is big because a win here, would put us at 3-2 going into our games against the West. I can't quite figure out Miami. They had some nice wins and went down to the wire with some excellent teams in their out-of-conference schedule. But they are 1-3 in the MAC and really struggled to beat Buffalo last week at home (a game I watched on tv).

I think this is a winable game for us...but Miami is solid so I'm not going to jump off a bridge if we lose.

I think .500 in the MAC and a MAC Tourney win is a good building block to next season when some more of Coach Orr's recruits come in.

This team enjoys defending their home court and will play tough (Hopefully some students will show up ) I think the key to the game is having 3 player have double figures in scoring and OP to staying out of foul trouble. I think Orr has this team ready to play, but I think Politz will be a little to tough.

Miami 62
BG 54

Maybe Larson makes me eat crow and goes for 6 and 4

Ever since the 2nd half of the Wright St. game where Miami gave up a double digit lead and Bramos went down with an ankle injury they haven't been the same team....I will not be surprised if BG wins I won't be surprised if they win and the score isn't even close.

To win tonight, BG NEEDS to penetrate the MU D. While watching the BG/Kent and BG/Akron games, our players did too much dribbling on the outside and then hoisted ill advised shots with the shot clock running out.

Get the ball inside and at least give out bigs a chance to get easy baskets.

And hit your damn FT's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GO FALCONS!!!!!!!!!

If anyone told me we would be 3-2 in the MAC with wins over both OU and Miami, I would have asked them the name of their Pharmacist.

AWESOME WIN! Keep rolling and improving!

Real good win for the guys tonight. I was worried when Knight missed that free throw to ice it, but a smart foul and a good defensive set took home the victory.

Big games scoring from both Clements & Miller. I don't think I've ever seen either of them shoot as well from deep as they did tonight. Hopefully we see that on a more consistent basis. Knight had a real good game as well.

Our man defense really struggled, but our zone was phenomenal the entire game. We started on man and dug a huge hole. Once we went to zone Miami really struggled to score. I think we finished the 1st half on something like a 24-9 run

All in all a great win. 3-2 in the MAC sure does feel nice. Sure all the wins are at home, but 2 of them have come against two of the best teams in the conference. I certainly cannot complain! :)
