Cardinals lose by 2 after leading by 12 at the half in Athens. Would have been nice if they could have stolen one over an East team... Wednesday night could be interesting in Muncie.

Hopefully the men can go in and overcome whatever the ladies cannot. They are getting their azz handed to them by about 20!

...and what would have made a Ball State win even better, CMU knocked off Akron in Mt. Pleasant, 65-64. Welcome to the MAC!

That blows. Akron's hopes of an at-large bid and a national ranking just went into the toilet. As much as I dislike the roos, a top 25 team from the MAC would have made this conference look a lot better.

BOO @ CMU

sidenote: I don't know what's gotten into the ladies, they just look bad right now.

Akron's schedule sent the at large hope packing a long time ago. They didnt schedule anyone OOC that would get them a marquee win. Kent St. looks to have the best chance for a second MAC bid...

Must've been a bad batch of gatorade or something.

This team is fun to watch, more than a couple of players are getting better by the game and they give a damn, as does the coaching staff. Most, if not all of those factors, have been AWOL at least the past couple of seasons. A .500 MAC record is possible -- and who in their right or left mind would have said that a month ago?

I'm still struggling to reconcile our good MAC record with that, hideous traumatizing experience at the JAR. Can we think of the Atrocity at Akron as being far out on the left tail? (Much like the Morgantown Meltdown)

Ball State let what would have been a huge win slip out of its grasp. BTW, Ohio had over 10,000 in attendance for this game!

At this rate, we won't do that for our entire MAC home schedule!

No, we would. Through 4 MAC home games we've averaged 1,396 with 4 games to go. If we meet our average it’d be over 11,000, not even including a bump due to our improved play and the presence of the Toledo game. We have attendance issues, but let's not make it seem like it's worse than it is.

You could pour a glass of cold water on some people in the middle of the night and they'd wake up denouncing BG's attendance.
