Bracket Buster opponent?

Post by bgmaggot00 »

Hey, do we know who the opponent is for the Bracket Buster game yet? Any idea when those have historically been announced? Thanks!

I think it'll come out in the next week or so. As far as an opponent, no clue, other than we're away at someone who's scheduled to play it at home.

EDIT: They're announced Feb. 4...and here's the teams we may play:

You must be a sadomasochist.

Convenient, in my opinion, is the word you were looking for. Those dogs are damn good.

They match up teams with similar RPIs, so sorry, but there is no way we will play Butler.

:) I was just kidding. DD your right on both ways. It is convenient and the Bulldogs are tough. They can flat out shoot. They play very good team basketball. Hinkle Fieldhouse is one of the best places to watch a basketball game.

The Plain Dealer reports Kent will play St. Mary's, Ohio hosts George Mason,
Akron at VCU and Miami (OH) at Valpo.

Nothing there, or on the Bracket Buster website.

That's disappointing to me. We play them about every year anyway. Would have liked to see us getting a return game next year with a "fresh" opponent.

Agreed. Of course it is a non tv matchup.

Not the most exciting opponent, no.

On the other hand, it's a very winnable game, and a very drive-able distance. Plus, you feel nice and safe there, since there's a fence around the entire university! :D

Detroit works for me. Bracket buster is on a Saturday, right? If so I'll likely make the trip and hit the casino...sounds like a good deal to me!
