Not to ruin that great win, but...

I just looked at the schedule. Wow. Akron and Kent at home and at OU and Miami. Otherwise, two road games at EMU and Buffalo. I am so proud and impressed with what the team has done this year, but that has to be the toughest remaining schedule in the conference. Gut check time.

Preferable to have this schedule after a 6-4 start in the MAC than run this gauntlet to start the season. Regardless of what happens to end this season I expect this will be the stretch from which this young team will learn and build for next year.

We just beat Toledo.
We could play next at the Pistons, Suns and Lakers, with a home game against the Globetrotters next and it wouldn't ruin a damn thing.

For once in his sad, pathetic, miserable life, TG is right.
JWE, the only thing that could ruin this win is you thinking that you could ruin it by bringing up games that have not yet been played. You didn't, though.

I understand what JEWII is saying. Yeah, we will likely lose those home games vs Kent and Akron and on the road vs OU, but I'm rather expecting it so big deal. Coach Orr has us playing improved basketball given the talent he has to work with. Its all good , just wait till he gets more of his recruits here.

Well then, please stay at home and away from Anderson Arena for these important home games. I would prefer fans that think we can win these games and will cheer on this team

I have season tix bro and I will be there regardless cheering on this team. From my mindset if we do the unlikely and pull of wins vs those teams that'll make it even better. But i'm simply not going to get myself so worked up over it if we lose them, cuz I know we are a work in progress and with each new season of Coach Orr's my excitement and expectations will be raised.

I love beating TSUN in anything and everything. Nothing will ruin my Monday. Great job, BG! They played well as a team today.
BG is gonna beat Akron next Saturday after a road win at EMU. The Zips just lost J Wood for the remainder of the regular season and I think our cats want another shot at Akron.
I can't wait to get there Saturday...DH in hoops and some Polleyes in between. Roll Along...

He probably want's faster service. Freak only has a certain amount of time between games. Myles has been a bit lacking in that area the past couple of times I've been in. Besides, you can't get Grolsch in a flip-top at Myles.

Thanks RUIT - now everything has been cleared up to my satisfaction.

JWE, this is what I've been saying for a while now. Yes the guys have really rallied this year under Coach Orr. They are 6-4 in the MAC and are certainly the most improved team in the conference. Their defense has them playing to the point where they can compete with the big boys in the conference. AND we just beat Toledo. This is all wonderful stuff.
However, that being said, that schedule is murderous down the stretch. A victory against EMU would be huge, because quite honestly, Akron usually kills us whenever we play them. Ohio is going to be out for blood down in Athens after we upset them the first time we played them. Miami is turning it around after a slow start, and they're a very tough team to beat in Oxford. Kent has the most wins in the conference thus far. If our guys are able to finish this stretch 3-3 and finish the conference season 9-7, Louis Orr should be coach of the year in the MAC.

Except in 2005 when they won by 2...and 2006 when they won in overtime...and 2007 when they won by just 6...and overall, where BG leads the series 25-16.
The upcoming schedule is formidable, but we were supposed to bow down and kiss the feet of Miami and Ohio before and winded up sending them home with losses. It might be in their best interest to be worried about the BG Falcons.

There's a problem with all those games you mentioned Joe. We've lost all those games. Plus, we've had a 31-point defeat and a 36-point defeat in that span as well.
As for us leading the overall series by that much, that's an eye-popping set of numbers seeing as we've never beaten them recently. We need to change that on Saturday.
