I also think it is funny that JQ wagered on his free throw shooting ability rather than the outcome of the game! Knowing Mayor Quinn since I was a small child, my first thought when I saw the contest recap on ESPNU was "he only won 4-3?!!"

Carty probably got confused and thought he was at a Michigan game and took it to Ann Arbor!!

Maybe he's going to sell it on ebay to raise coin for the new downtown arena.

As of 5pm this afternoon still NO flag. My guess is Carty will say One Government Center is controlled by the Ohio Building Authority (OBA) and they will not give permission to fly the flag. However, Carty got special permission from the OBA to bring his dog to work. This was after the local building manager said no. Carty called Columbus and got the okay for Scout the Wonder Dog.

Miserable SOB. I wonder if Mayor Quinn has called him yet.

As of 4 pm today still NO flag at Government Center.

My theory is that flags, being inanimate, can't hear. I'd be looking somewhere out by the airport. My office overlooks the Government Building and it sure ain't there.

Carty is such an idiot...first he picks a fight with the Marines...then his spokesman picks a fight with WJR...like the idiots weren't occupied enough fighting with the 5,000 watt juggernaut WSPD. No, they have to take on the 50,000 watt, clear channel, heard in 35 states and half of Canada blowtorch WJR.

It must be true. Finkbeiner got booed by the Toledo fans at Anderson on Sunday. Quinn got a standing ovation by comparison.

I think this is Carty's ruse to get BG fans to drop a little cash in the Glass City- all the people who swear they'd never set foot in Toledo keep finding reasons to drive downtown to check the flag situation...
Seriously, the BG mayor must be a little dull-witted or he just accepted the fact that hanging the BG flag wasn't going to be a huge priority for Finkbiener. I hope he does it but holding my breath won't happen.

I half expect to come on here and see that if he does decide to fly it that it'll be during BG's Spring Break when no one is around to go check (welll, aside from all of you guys that have been doing it )
