How are the seeds factored? I have heard that right now we are 9th and playing the tenth seeded Rockets. But if we win and others lose couldn't we get as high as 4th? Also, do we want to avoid a team in particular in the tourney? I know who I would have said to start the year but it seems every team has been streaky.

As it stands right now, shouldn't we be seeded 8th, or even 7th, depending on how the tiebreakers work with EMU?

After another Buffalo debacle, here's where things stand with one game to go in the MAC race (seeds in front of school name):

MAC EAST
1. Kent State, 12-3
3. Akron, 11-4
4. Ohio, 8-7
5. Miami, 8-7
8. BOWLING GREEN, 7-8
12. Buffalo, 3-12

MAC WEST
2. Western Michigan, 11-4
6. Central Michigan, 8-7
7. Eastern Michigan, 7-8
9. Toledo, 6-8
10. Ball State, 5-10
11. Northern Illinois, 3-11

* WMU gets the #2 seed because of MAC West Champ & tie-breaker over UA.
** Ohio owns the tie-breaker over Miami and CMU.
*** Miami owns the tie-breaker over CMU.
**** EMU owns the tie-breaker over BG.
***** NIU edges UB in win percentage despite losing head-to-head.
****** UT and NIU did not play the cancelled game in Toledo so they will both only play 15 MAC games instead of 16 like the rest of the conference.

Sunday, March 9:
BOWLING GREEN at Miami
Buffalo at Ohio
Ball State at Western Michigan
Northern Illinois at Eastern Michigan
Toledo at Central Michigan
Kent State at Akron
