Toledo II

I don't see how we can't play Toledo in the first round of the MAC Tourney (but mind you, I'm an idiot). OK: if we win @ Miami AND EMU loses at home, on senior day, to NIU, we could pass EMU in the seeding. Not bloody likely.

So it's Toledo. Who is the #8 and who is the #9 could flip flop depending on Sunday (my money is on BG #8/Tol #9), but it's going to be BG v. Toledo on Wednesday. Times are not released yet, but if memory serves the 8 v. 9 usually opens the tournament. So Wednesday at 12:00 or 1:00. Take the day off now - we start drinking at 11:00.

Yes, 8 and 9 open the tournament at noon. Wear a pink carnation and I'll stop by and say "Hey"!

I guess its an assumption on the noon start but 8 and 9 are the first games and games start at noon. MACBBS have more info.

On review I may have cheated you out of an hour of drinking time:

Thanks for the effort, but I don't know if I'm buying the info on the board you linked. It links back to the MAC website, which still shows TBA for all game times. Also shows seeding that could change. OU doesn't have the #4 seed yet (a Miami win and an OU loss on Sunday would give Miami the #4). BG still has an outside shot at the #7 with a win and an EMU loss. Just don't trust 'em.

I guess I will have to wait longer.

The TV schedule listed off the MAC site has it as a noon start. I'd say plan for noon, and if you find out later it's 1pm, just stay at the bar a little longer. I can think of worse things to be doing...

Does OU have a tiebreaker over us? We split our series, so I assume the next tiebreaker would be vs. East teams... on second thought, yeah, they've probably got that tiebreaker over us...

Gotta love having the Winking Lizard in easy walking distance!

I'm hopeful that we'll get some night session games, those I can make, but I won't make any of the day session games.

Obviously making it to Friday guarantees a night game :)

We split with OU and the second tiebreaker is winning percentage against common seeded opponents, top to bottom (makes your head hurt right). So... #1 Kent. OU and BG both split with Kent, so you go to #2 WMU. BG lost to Western and OU beat Western so OU has the tiebreaker over BG. But you make an ineresting point. Looking again, if we beat Miami we would leapfrog them as well. So BG could get up to the #6 seed if we beat Miami and NIU beats EMU. But, I'm sticking to my guns on the #8 seed.

Toledo won its first game away from Savage Hall today, beating CMU in Mt. Pleasant, 90-83 in OT. The Rockets also jumped ahead of BG and took the #8 seed and we'll get the #9 seed in the MAC Tournament. We'd better play like we did against Kent State and not the way we did against Buffalo and Miami, or we'll be one and done in the MAC Tourney.
