Who would you like to see on the schedule next year?

Post by Falcon137 »

Obviously with-in reason. Kentucky, Duke, UNC are obviously not coming to AA. But who wouldn't you mind seeing at home or being able to make a road trip for.

Personally I would like to see
@ Duquense (Maybe we already have a home and away)
@ Illinois St. or Creighton
@ Dayton or Xavier
vs Valpo
vs Western Kentucky

Personally , I want to see some 1 for 1's with the likes of UD, Xavier , Duquense and an Illinois St. or Creighton. If we can't get those teams to come to AA then we got major problems.

Duquesne played at AA this year. I would like to see BG play them again. They are a fun athletic team to watch.

For selfish proximity reasons Butler. BG vs Butler at Hinkle on a Saturday afternoon would be sweet.

But realistically besides Duquense and Dayton, some Missouri valley teams would be fine for a home and home.

You stole my idea. Though I'd pull for a Thursday night... no work for me, and a trip to the Ripple to celebrate a win... :-D Butler should be decent next year, but still just a shadow of their current selves.

I'd settle for a game at IUPUI, though, since we're being selfish.

More realistically, I think working home and homes out with the other D-1 schools in Ohio should be a priority, but that's probably too obvious.

Thursday would work. I have never been to IUPUI's gym, but I guess it holds around 1,500.

I don't see Dayton or Xavier ever doing a 1-1 with BG until the program really starts winning again. I know Toledo and Akron got 1-1 deals with Dayton but I don't see BG getting it.

I would like to see Dayton open the Stroh Center, after all BG opened up UD Arena.

What about Cleveland State? In fact, when was the last time BG played CSU? It would seem to me that, with the alumni base we have in the Cleveland area,we would want to be playing them regularly. Waters is doing wonders with that program, and I think this would be a very fun game to watch. Home or away, I wish we would get this done at some point.

I'm hoping that we can avoid teams that with Sagarin/RPI of 200+. Furthermore, it would be nice to take a couple road trips and get some bigger names on our schedule, like Michigan State or Pitt. If we can play those teams well, than it really helps us in the eyes of the fans.

I can remember going to The Gund to see BG vs. Rollie Massamino's Vikings for a Rock N Roll Shootout, wanna say it was '99 or 2000?

I was thinking the exact same thing...we should be playing CSU every year, alternating home dates...I think that would be a big help to BOTH programs!
